1st training at Longmead Community Farm

Our first training session has just been completed at Longmead Community Farm.  The Foundations for Attachment course was run by in house trainers, Simon Eagle & Craig Barrett.

This means that all of our team are now fully DDP informed and can now incorporate this within their own work.

“This is an excellent training I got so much out of it, I am already applying it to my work and its already having a positive impact”

Foundations for Attachment Training Resource is a programme to help parents and carers to nurture attachments with their child.

It is designed specifically for those caring for children whose capacity to emotionally connect has been compromised as a result of attachment problems, trauma, and loss or separation. Informed by attachment theory and Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP), it consists of three core modules:

  • Understanding Challenges of Parenting
  • Therapeutic Parenting
  • Looking After Self

This parenting programme is informed by DDP principles and has passed through the DDPI endorsement process.

All KORU Project therapists and practitioners work is informed by these principles here in the Foundations to attachment training.
