Elizabeth taught English in East London for ten years, before returning to her roots in Dorset, where she works therapeutically with Looked After Children.
She was one of the first cohort of leaders to complete a two-year programme with The Difference, an organisation which aims to reduce exclusions from mainstream schools by upskilling teachers in inclusive practices.
As a Senior Leader in a Pupil Referral Unit, she was responsible for student and staff wellbeing, as well as Literacy across the Curriculum. She qualified as an Educational Psychotherapist with the Caspari Foundation in 2020, completing her clinical placement at Islington CAMHS.
She is particularly passionate about working with schools to help staff understand emotional barriers to learning, and the links between low literacy and difficult early experiences.
