Gosia Orlinska

Operations Manager & Arts Therapist

A little more about Gosia:

Gosia specialises in working with trauma and attachment and has 10 years of art and dramatherapy experience of supporting children, young people and their families.

She also works as operations manager and safeguarding lead at Koru, ensuring that it’s structures uphold the heart of the organisation. Having previously set up and managed a thriving therapy project at a primary school in east London, she spent 4 years working within a marginalised inner city community and supported families with complex safeguarding issues.

Gosia specialises in supporting children in care who have experienced developmental trauma, have neurodiverse backgrounds and mental health challenges. Using a holistic and ddp informed approach, sessions often involve families and carers.

Her indoor or outdoor sessions are filled with playful and engaging creative activities and involve pro-social activities such as cooking, painting, games, making music or exploring nature together. Finding metaphors for inner resilience in natural surroundings has become a recent theme during the COVID pandemic due to a transition to outdoor work.

Gosia received an MA in Drama and Movement therapy at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London and a BA in illustration at the Pratt Institute in NYC- prior to finding her calling as a therapist she channeled her creative passions as a pastry chef.

She now uses her love of food to bring families and communities together- help children with sensory integration and engage young people who would otherwise find therapy difficult.
